MND//SET Episode #2: The Anti-Tada

Good Day fine minded folk!

Today, Collin and I explored one of the most interesting ideas in Mentalism: the Anti-Tada.

Originally conceived by the legendary Kenton Knepper, this concept has gone on to influence and shape the thinking of some of the biggest names in the industry – including Peter Turner, Fraser Parker, Luke Jermay, and Lewis LeVal, to name just a few. If Kenton Knepper isn’t already on your radar, seeing the calibre of performers inspired by his work should give you an idea of just how deeply his influence runs through modern Mentalism.

In this episode, we break the Anti-Tada wide open, unpacking what it really means, how we interpret those moments, and why misunderstanding the concept can sometimes lead us into accepting performances that simply aren’t as strong as we think they are.

Before diving into the episode, if the Anti-Tada is a new concept to you, or if you’ve never explored the work of Kenton Knepper before, do yourself a favour and visit his website: https://www.wonderwizards.com/creator/kenton-knepper

P.S If you are curious about the Psychological force I was discussing within this months Episode, then I suggest you contact Ross Tayler about his product “ECROF”, which in my opinion is the best resource for psychological forces. He is elusive, but he does have an instagram @ rossdtayler. You will also find his Gumroad there, which is also full of incredible card magic.
